4g63 non turbo. getting no spark. new ignition coil, new spark plugs. car cranked fine then when i was backing out of my driveway the car just completely turned off. i’ve researched a little and found either the CAS or ECU. ECU looks fine besides some dried white liquid. could there be anything else causing this?

I'd stop throwing random parts at it and diagnose the problem.

yes i’m 100% sure there’s no spark. i can smell gas when i try to crank so fuel is there. i haven’t noticed the tach twitching, but i haven’t really been looking for that.
Can't remember differences between years but on my 90 when ignition transistor failed tach didn't move. No spark. Car cooled down it started again until transistor got hot again

care to provide more detail or pictures on this? Is it on the ECU board somewhere?

I just fired my motor up for the first time in 3 years and I have BC 272's. I forgot how choppy and angry those things sound at idle.
