Changed out my intake manifold and intake cam. Now the car won't start. It just cranks and I get no spark. Everything was running perfect before she was parked about a month ago.
Timing belt went back on spot on. Would the CAS being 180* off cause no spark?
Also did a boost leak test and fixed 2 very minor leaks but felt a huge leak toward the back of the transmission. Maybe coming from the headgasket area, but it's not the intake manifold or throttle body that is for sure. Compression is 150+ across the board.
I know I'm getting fuel because after cranking it smells like fuel so they are spraying. I will get a log tomorrow after work just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas on why it was running great and now I get no spark. Nothing electrical changed and the battery was disconnected.
edit: Can someone verify the wires on the harness that go into the coil pack? I just want to be 200% sure it's right, even though the crank sensor never got disconnected.

If you put a 6-bolt IM on your 2g head and used the 7-bolt gasket then it IS a leak at the IM and would cause the car not to start.

Look at the "No Start" VFAQ and check spark.

I'm not retarded. It's a 2g intake manifold on a 2g head.

Did you remember to plug in your CPS, and if you did plug it in did you get it in the right triangle connector? The A/C compressor and CPS use the same connector, you just need to pay attention to the wire colors to get it in the right one. (I believe its red, blue, & black to the CPS)

I actually don't think your retarded but I do know that theres a misconception that a 1g IM bolts right up to a 2g head. It's true but unless you do it right it causes more bad then good, but since your not retarded of course you do know that. Obviously.

*EDIT* - After I removed my TB/IM to put on my built head and started installing everything again the one thing I forgot was new TB gaskets. I used RTV and put everything back together and had a MASSIVE boost leak back there like you described. I removed the TB and found a dime sized chunk of gasket that wasn't removed from the old gasket causing the TB not to seal to the IM, just another place to look.

Everything is plugged in right, I verified it with my friends 2g. The a/c connector has been folded back and tapped off so I don't get it mixed up. I tried swapping ecu's last night no go. Tonight I will try to get a hold of a new coil pack and power pack.

I'd suspect the ignition amp then as well, good luck! Those things seem to like going bad, too bad they're pretty expensive new but hopefully you find your problem.

Yep, crank sensor failed somehow. Then she wouldn't idle, had to adjust the screw on the boomba tb and now she runs and pulls like a freight train.
