1g VS 2g pistons

Alright so i have another ? for you guys, Is there any way you can tell the diffrence from
1g pistons and 2g pistons by just lookin at them? b.c im buyin a 1g/2g set up and i want to make sure there 1g rods and 2g pistons. I know with honda they have there own codes. do DSMs have somewhat the same thing?

how many HP can the DSM Graveyard 1g rod and 2g pistons kit hold? it is price right for some $### or there are any better kits

Its all depends but if its tuned right 400hp should not be a problem. My friend's 93gsx put down 414awhp on 2g pistons and 1g rods for quite a long time. He parted out the car and the motor ran again in another dsm for 2 more years.

one has the part number 63dt and the other has 63dtf1 on it i believe those are the differneces he was pointing out

They are
2g 22mm
1g 21mm

And pin end has to be narrowed.
2g 1.040"
1g 1.140"

So by narrowing the pin end does that mean simply grinding the piston pin down? or is that refering to the piston where the pin is kept in place with the clips?

Narrowing the pin is for the clips. Looks like the 2g pin is .1" longer. I'm sure the machine shop wouldn't take it to the grinder. I would assume they chuck it up and take off that .1"

Both are garbage pistons, the whole 2g /1g thing was made up by a blind redneck in his basement that knew retards with turbo cars needed higher compression with sht turbos to make them feel what torque is.

I dont quite get the point of your statement, have you had any experience with these combos as a lot of people are using it with good results, maybe you know something and should let the community know.

Do you also consider the evo piston being used a lot now, to be another blind redneck or the same one running down the same basement.

when i bought my 92 laser rs i was told that it had 2g pistons. here are some pics of what ive bin doing to the laser the past couple weeks. let me now what yall think.(2g pistons? or not?)
there is a lot of carbon and oil build up on the pistons so i cant really see any code or numbers.

I can get better pics on request.

Maybe shoot some brake clean or carb cleaner on top of the pistons to clean off to check for part#, etc hard to tell by the pic

will do. but the one thing that i did notice on the cylinder walls is that the cross hatching is still there from the factory. which lets me know that the block wasnt abused by the previous owner. so i got a strong block to work with.
