1G talon tsi awd, how much?

i am looking to buy a 1G talon tsi awd. i found one thats in decent shape,126k, faded red paint. but it needs a new tranny. how much should i offer/be willing to spend on just buyin the car?

not much because your going to be putting alot more money into breaking things, replacing that tranny and maybe repainting? I bought faded red paint too and now i hate it and wish i would have waited and bought one tha tdidnt need repainted. But i guess you can go to www.edmunds.com which is pretty realistic. I wouldnt pay more then 1000, if it needs a tranny rebuild and paintjob.

actually the paint is good, just needs a wax. has been sittin for a yr, one radiator fan seized, radio brokr, cigarette lighter broke, one door lock broke, and rust patches in roof.engine replaced, new racing clutch. the guy wants 850, sound good or lower?

I don tthink 850 is too bad. Id buy it for 850.
