1G t-stat housing on 2G head

Can I put 1G t-stat housing on 2G head ?
I have a 1G / GVR4, and found a local deal on a built 6-bolt block but with 2G head.

I would like to use my GVR4 t-stat housing ( the whole radiator coolant related thing at the passenger side of the head ).
I know you cannot use 2G t-stat housing on 1G head, but I think the opposite is still unknown.

I don't have a spare 1G/GVR4 t-stat housing. Otherwise, I'd just give it a try myself..
Let me know if anyone has done this swap before.
Oh, also I do know that 1G head flows more than 2G head. But, this 2G head is port-matched to 1G intake manifold, and also I prefer low-end torque than top-end power on my heavy-ass gvr4.

no u cant for the same reason u cannot use a 2g housing on 1g head-
they are not even close to being the same.
