1g Stock Bov flange on 2.5" Pipe?

Hey whats up? I got a quick question maybe one of you guys can help me out with. If I cut off the stock 1g bov flange off can it be welded to a 2.5" pipe?

If the pipe is steel, yes.

I'd recomend buying a new one from road race engineering.

The pipe will be aluminum. Is the stock bov flange steel or aluminum? Which can't you weld together aluminum and aluminum or steel and aluminum

The stock pipe is steel, which cannot be welded to aluminum.

In that case, you'll want to buy the aluminum flange and have someone weld it on for you.
