1G rods with 2G pistons

I tried the search i got a lot of info but I am wondering do i just use the rods i have now or do i buy new 1g rods. And if i do use the ones i have what has to be done to them thanks

Have the rods machined so the wrist pins on the 2g pistons can fit the 1g rods

Getting the 1g rods machined to fit 2g pistons gets expensive. With a hundred dollars more, you can get some eagle rods which are stronger. Well thats my opinion on that.

If nothings wrong with your rods... use them

But Ultimatedsm is right. Spending money on the 2g pistons, and then paying for your rods to be machined would be silly when you can go straight to forged pistons for nearly the same price.
