Should i use my 1g ported manifold that matches my ported 16g on my 2g eclipse by drilling out the 2 outer holes or should i spend the time to port out my 2g manifold. which will take forever.. good enough.. i think so

Unless you've got a question here, which I'm having a hard time finding, this thread will be moved to The Hangout. If you have a question about a problem it needs to be asked/explained CLEAR AND CONCISELY or else you aren't going to get an answer because nobody is going to know what you're talking about.

since people cannot understand english and complain about grammar. here is the question WORD FOR WORD.

We understand English just fine, we just request that you use it... properly. :thumb:

You can use the 1g manifold just fine, the only problem is that it is more prone to cracking then the 2g, especially when ported. Even if you decide to use the 1g manifold, I would still start porting your 2g manifold anyway, just to have it ready for when the 1g one bites the dust.

If your 1g manifold is ported, and you're not too concerned with the possibly of a tiny loss of power.... just modify it to fit. Id say keep the 2g manifold around though in case the 1g manifold cracks. I've seen quite a few of them do that.

I guess I got beat to the punch, you were. Hitting reply 9!'clipse, as I was typing on my phone LOL

1G manifolds crack and have smaller runners. Just because someone opened up the inlet and outlet of the manifold doesn't mean it will necessarily outperform a ported 2G manifold.

I'd port the 2G manifold and use that instead.

well the inlet and collector isnt just opened up. the entire thing is ported out. if i compare the two looking through them i would say each runner on my 1g is atleast 25% larger all the way through it.. who ever worked on it spent some time. im not about to spend that time on the 2g right now just to get close to that.. and its not cracked yet so ill use it till it does crack.. also this is not a race car. it will be my dd and my girlfriends mostly. i just happened to have these extra parts so im throwing them on.. im going to use the 1g
