1G or 2G head in my 6 bolt swap

Hey guys,
Do i need to swap the 1G head with a 2G head? Would it be better to do so? And why would it be? Please help!!!

Im pretty sure that the 1g head flows better, i dont think it is necessary to do so tho. There are many threads on this already.

go with what ever is available to you. there is alot of debate of which is better. the smaller ports on a 2g means that the air will bottle neck there and speed up. and a 1 g having the bigger ports can handle more volume of air

If you use a 2g head, you'll need to drill out the head stud holes in the head to accept the 12mm head studs/bolts.

If you use a 1g head, it's a direct bolt on, but will need to get all of the other 1g pieces (intake manifold, thermostat housing, etc.) that are needed.

just like 91talon did research it. it will be alot of reading and you wont get a strigt answer. so in the end you will have to decide
