Upon searching for an eprom amongst my parts I came across the n/t throttle body I had mentioned in my earlier posts, I forgot that after the owner blew it up (overboosting) I was able to retrieve my goodies off of it, I was quite suprised to see it in the box.
This promted me to measure my spare throttle bodys I had laying around. Here are my measurements of some 1g throttle bodies.
90 Turbo- Inner Diameter 60.3mm
Throttle plate 60mm
Thickness flange to flange 55mm
91-94 Turbo- Inner Diamter 60.3mm
Throttle Plate 60mm
Thickness flange to flange 47.5mm
91-94 N/T- Inner Diameter 63.5mm tapers to 60.3mm
Outer Diameter 70.7mm
Throttle plate 60mm
Thinckness flange to flange 39mm
Thickness Inlet to flange 82.70mm
The lower halfs on both n/t and turbo 91-94s are the same size.
All throttle body plates compared are approximately 60mm.
All compared were different thicknesses flange to flange. The 90 design is thicker because of the different port hole locations.
Here are photos of the throttle bodies measured. The 90 is extra crispy, the original from my car! The red n/t could use some design improvement on the fiav block off. The blue Turbo throttle body is stripped, all that remains is the shaft/spring and linkage connection.
