Resolved 1G NA Thermostat Housing on 2G Head!

Okay, you get the picture, running a 1G NA TStat housing on a 7bolt. What thermostat do I run?

No picture but they bolt right up. Have one in my wife's car. You use a 6 bolt thermostat.

I already have it bolted up. Will a 7bolt tstat not work? I thought they were the same minus opening temp.

You use a 6 bolt thermostat.

Use a 1G thermostat. Doesn't matter what 2.0L 1G it comes from, either 6- or 7-bolt. A 2G thermostat will not work.

For reference, use the thermostat that matches the housing. The year of the car doesn't matter if it has been swapped: 95 gst thermostat problem
