1G N/T Idle problem

Hi, Im having idle problems with my eclipse N/A. Cold engine is running normally until heats up then dies... Any ideas where the problem is?

Best guess, check your mad. Then go through your plugs, wires and cool. GL I hope it helps

Looking at the temp guage it seems a bit on the high side, even for an inaccurate piece of junk. Id make sure you have enough coolant in it, and dont have any leaks once the system starts to build pressure. I'm guessing its getting a little too hot and the ecu is seeing a high coolant temp sensor reading and is dumping extra fuel in it, causing it to die.

Mad? do you mean MAF? I have changed new plugs and wires still same problem.

There is enough coolant, but now I see little leaking from my radiator... Is that could be my problem?

Check vacuum lines, throttle body gasket, any thing unplugged.

The funny thing... if hood is open my engine works ok. This happens only when hood is closed. I think something gets too much hot. Any ideas?

Do you run a short ram. And does it happen more when you fan kickes on?

Yes I do run short ram. Is that because intake sucking hot air? Wrong ECU readings from MAF?

The fan could be blowing the air around your maf causing it to read wrong.
