1g misfire?

Will a misfire throw a CEL on 1g's? (Specifically a '94 eclipse GS).

Not that I've seen.

I assume you have a CEL, pull it and tell us the code(s).
There are things that will throw codes and cause misfires.

I don't have CEL, but am trying to diagnose a problem. I don't think it's a misfire, so I was wondering if no CEL would eliminate the possibility of a misfire- guess not. Later this evening, one of my friends is coming over and is going to have a look.
