There’s this plastic piece on the drivers side that I don’t want to break. How do you remove it?

Remove it from the spring then push the bottom in

The plastic holds the cable in place and it has to be removed to get to the 10mm that bolts the latch assemble.
I see it. It appears to me that its a spacer to make sure the cable actually pulls the latch instead of moving the bracket. If that's the case pretty sloppy design.

Now that I know how to remove, it’s no big deal LOL


Had this plastic on my 91 latch but not in my 94. Seem to work fine with or without it

I can see now how it won’t make a big difference without it.
