I just bought some HKS 264/272 combo cams (I wanted 272/272 but I couldn't pass them up for the price) and I considered replacing my 2g head with a 1G head as well as a 1g intake mani and a throttle body because, I have read that they flow alot more. Do you think this will net reasonable gains for the price, or should I just throw the cams in my existing 2g head and call it a day?

well, what is the price?

I have never actually seen them side by side, but everything I have researched tells me the the 1g head, intake mani, and throttle body have significantly higher flow than my 2g parts. Does anyone have actual horsepower numbers or flow comparisons between these two setups?

yeah dude its definetly worth it but just be ready to run into alot of problems... i just did that and it was alot harder then i thought it would e....but deffietly worth the power :talon: gain :talon: :thumb:

It's a very easy swap and very much worth the gains if left alone. I'd prefer a ported 2g head with a smim over a 1g head, but a 1g head is usually cheaper to work with and just throw on for some gains. I have a 1g head and tb and it was worth it.

Yep. Very easy.

If you reuse 2G TB then it's a virtual bolt-on, aside form several minor tweaks like tapping MAP sensor. With 1G TB you'll need to re-match some vacuum hoses, but that's about it.
