2G 1g Fans on the 2g Radiator

Do anyone knows if i can use 1g Fans in the 2g radiator?

Welcome to the forum :) you should fill out your vehicle profile so we all know what you’re dealing with: HERE

First and foremost, you’ll have to do some wiring work for sure. The 1G radiator fan is dependent on a temp sensor that is screwed into the radiator. 2G relies on ECU temp data to cycle the fans. This coming from a 1G owner (never had a 2G).

There might be some fitment issues based on the radically different front end style, and differences in the radiator itself. Another member might chime in on this…..

It would appear the mounting bolts have different placement. Also notice the extra connector on 1g fan for the temp sensor.

Thanks for the reply. I'll fill my vehicle profile. I have a 2g, but this question was for a friend, i have the 1g fans laying around here and he was looking for new fans as his old got melted. Too much work, better buying 2g fans so.
