1G Radiator fans not turning on

Has a new thermostat and coolent temp sensor, the gauge never shows past half/straight up, but the fans never come on what should and were should I be looking? Thanks for your time and info

A relay could be bad or the fan fuse.

The fans, at least on a 2g DSM (I see you have a 3kGT), are set to kick on at 210*. If your coolant temps aren't getting to the point where the ECU kicks on the radiator fan then they won't kick on...

Yeah man id say its a relay cause my 1g had the same problem and it started to overheat and puke fluid out the overflow tube and i couldnt figure it out then looked and it was a simple fix relay so id say check there.

First off, what car is this for? 1g and 2g dsm's have different methods of controlling the fans. 3000gt's I have no idea about, and you would be better off posting in a different forum.

It could be a lot of things. grab a temp gun and watch the thermostat housing once it hits around 210 check the fan motor electrical connection with a multimeter. if it gets power chances are its your fan, if it doesnt get power it has to be in the wiring. Find where the relay and possible fuses might be. Those are your most likely cantidate. If not, see of the relay or fuse is even getting power. If you are at this point there is probibly some bad wiring or pcm.

new parts are always least expected to be bad having said that it sounds like a bad thermostat replace it again try a mitsu one

Well I put a new switch in thr bottom of the radiator and thermostat housing and its all fixed thanks for all the help

Mine wouldn't kick on anymore ether just this past weekend..

We wired it to a switch.. alot more convienant =)
You should do it as well =)
