okay so im swapping a 1g head onto my 2g block (cars a 95) and i know if you wanna use the 95-96 cas then you have to drill and tap into the 1g head.. and if your using a 97-newer cas you just have to buy the mounting and dont have to do any drilling i THINK.. but what if you have a 1g cas do you NOT have to drill and tap, just hook it up to where it would go if it was in a 1g? thanks in advance cause im kinda confused :hmm:

Caution when doing this mod. The signal with a 2g car/ ecu and the 1g sensor is not the same as stock. So Without dropping some cash on DSM Link you will get random misfire codes which will put your car in limp mode and it's a pain in the ass to go highway speeds till it clears. If your going to do this Get link which allows you to disable the code. OR use the stock cam sensor which ends up being a bit cheaper. Just drill and tap the cam as needed (I haven't done 95 cam sensor, but with my 97 I had to drill and tap the intake cam iirc. )

Why do you want to put a 1g head on your 2g block?

Do you have the 1g IM also?

Keep in mind the 1g has the larger intake runner ports, and so des the 1g intake.

If you plan on running a 1g head with the 2g intake, then you will have a turbulant area in the runner that can hurt air flow.
