So basically to make this nice and short, id like to know if my BOV is recirculated or vented to atmosphere. what is the PHYSICAL difference (i know what the two mean just not what they look like)

my bov is pretty loud (stock 1G) so i was wondering if maybe the previous owner might not have recirculated it.:hmm:

[Here is a picture of a stock engine bay. Hope it help.

If it has a hose leading from the bov to the intake its recirculated if no then its not.

Right on the money! That's the only difference, you'd see a hose hooked up from your BOV to your intake pipe if it's recirculated. If it vents to the atmosphere, it simply means nothing is being brought back in the intake system, it's vented to the air, hence no hose connecting it anywhere.

It is recirculated back into the intake track. If it is abnormally loud then there might be a leak/crack in the tube going back to the intake.

well there is no hose connected there so im pretty sure its atmosphere vented. Theres just a little vacuum line going to the IM but thats not the hose yall are talking about

once again you have all been a great help thank you!!
