Just a n00b being a worrysome PITA...I searched but didn't really find much to help me out with this.
I've got a 1g BOV on my 97 Talon, it was setup to recirculate, just like it should be, but the hose to recirculate it was RIGGED! It was crimped to hell and really didn't fit right...it was screwed up. The guy before me did it like this because the setup on my car leaves little room to do much with the hose. Anyway, I reversed the BOV, sealed the gasket with a little RTV and got a new hose that's longer and comes back around to fit the intake tube right.
The car seems a ton faster, from the looks of it I think it was also leaking boost from the BOV gasket. My problem is this, my BOV now sounds like a sequential, it didn't before. Is this normal? The thing sounds like a damn stuttering chimpmunk whenver I shift. A friend said this will screw upthe turbo if it stays like this...any explanations or advice?
