The 1g bov flange bolts are spaced further apart than a greddy. My FMIC kit came with a 1g flanged bov spot. What i did was i kind of clocked the BOV so the holes had some meat to grab onto and i marked the holes and drilled and tapped... Or you can buy the right flange.. Just some options//

Why are you switching out the awesome 1g BOV for anything else? There is no need to do that. At most, you should be looking at installing a Dejon Tool Leak stop mod for your current BOV and it'll be perfect for just about anything you throw at it.

I'd keep the stock 1g, but if you wanted you could just drill new holes or buy a new uicp like every one else suggested. good luck on what you choose.

What this guy said, its what I done years back, but I'd rather use the 1g bov and use the money for something else.

If you have some extra cash you might as buy a whole intercooler pipe kit/ and/or fmic that is flanged for that bov, one kit that comes to mind is the punishment one.The reason im saying this is because the stock rubber piping sucks, it drys out and develops cracks which leads to boost leaks. Also if you are using this bov please recirculate it unless you plan on using the maft or ecm/dsmlink.

No offense but all you have is an exhaust and a turbo. Right now you should be leaning towards fuel upgrades in my opinion so that you can build enough boost to have some fun. Since those are the only two upgrades you have im sure you are still recirculating right? Since 9.999 times out of ten you are if you plan on venting this to the atmosphere you can kiss a good running car good bye. Do me one favor unhook your 1G BOV's dump tube and take it for a drive and this will show you how it is a waste of timeand money in my opinion. Go for needed upgrades first.

This is my whole reason for starting this thread. I was reading up on the bov and the stock one is a "bpv" bov isint it.? i wanted to just take off the hose that routs the bypassed air back to the intake. My reason for doing this is i want a better blow-off sound. Im not sure what i should do????????

very true. well i was just looking for some good advise. i got what i was looking for. thanks :aha:

I have to agree with everyone else. Keep your 1G BOV and use the money for some other upgrades, and as far as sound goes I just switched my stock 2G BOV for a 1G BOV and trust me, you dont know what a shitty BOV sounds like until you have heard the 2G stock LOL

ok. ill keep the 1g for now. i dont even know how it sounds yet cause ive never run my car yet for more than a minute. there was talk of getting upgrades for the fuel system.... what should i do first and what is recommended that should i get????

Adjustable fuel pressure regulator (AFPR), and either a air fuel controller or dsmlink and a palm pilot with web OS and pocketlogger software.
