1g Awd auto motor/trans install

So I went to install my motor and I could not get the motor to line up with the trans and the trans mount seems a little sloppy so does anyone have any tips and tricks also a link on how to pull the 1g Awd auto trans to change the mount and so I can clean it up also the motor is currently out

Are you trying to install the engine with the trans already in the car? You are going to need to pull the trans and bolt it to the engine and drop the unit in from above, or install the engine, and then the transmission.

Yeah the trans is still in should I be able to move the trans like side to side and be able to twist it

No! You have to take the trans out! Idk why you pulled the engine like that it's to much work! Work smarter not harder. Remove the trans bolt it to the engine then install as a unit! Good luck.

No. take the trans out, bolt it to the motor while it's out and put it in. Remember this for next time. will save you tons of time

Ok so how complicated is it to drop the trans also I have abs if that matters since the abs pump is directly above the trans.

of course drop the transfer case, get the axles outta the trans. take off the mount and wahlah

Ok does anyone know if the 1g awd manual trans mount is different then the auto because i just got done modifying my auto mounts to fit prothane 1g manual bushings and i still have the trans mount.
