1g 7 bolt in a 90 tsi

Hey guys just wandering if anybody knows if its possible to put a 1g 7 bolt in a 90 talon tsi awd? I wasn't sure where to post this so I hope the newbie forum is okay.Thanks guys.

Do believe that motor mounts are different between the two blocks ...

If you use the mounts (both bolting to the engine and bolting to the frame) and all electronics controlling the engine from the 1990 vehicle, then it should work. While the mounts may be different, they should all bolt to the same locations on each block.
