Is there a difference between a 1g 6-bolt and 1g 7-bolt head? These are the differences I THINK there are, please confirm?
  1. The two outside bottom studs for the exhaust manifold are M10 not M8 like all the others (not a problem I can easily pick up two M10 nuts)
  2. The oil feed off the head is blocked off (again not a problem, I take my oil feed right of the oil filter housing)
  3. The 7bolt head studs are 11mm so you have to punch out the holes to get the head on the car (a giant pain in the ass because I had to do it myself.)

I personally don't know the answer to your question but i hope you get it all sorted out, im finally starting to heavily modify my car and the next step up would be a basically fresh redone long block with forged internals.

Yeah I looked around and talked to a few people and I thought they had sorted out their problems and started doing good work. I will be posting feedback later this was more a sanity check for myself

Its not a review thread its a 7 bolt vs 6 bolt head question. I will be posting feedback in the right section but the review section was not the right place to ask my question

You are correct, there are 2 different 1g heads a 6 bolt and a 7 bolt variation. I had the same thing happen to me from a different head shop. Most people assume that if it has big intake ports it will fit all 1g blocks.
