If I decide to do an engine swap from a 1.8 to a 2.0 what all will I have to do,will I have to change the computer, and will I have to change transmissions or not?

the f4a22 i assume then? if so it will still work but ull need a a torque coverter and flywheel for the 2.0 non turbo engine. have fun chagin the engine i plan on doin the same thing whenever i buy the clutch kit for my car, but im installin a turbo 2.0. you will have to pull the dash the heater a/c boxes and ducts its a pain in the ass to change the wiring harness and ecu. also make sure to use a 2.0 fuel pump. and i hope u do have every thing u need to do the change there is so many little things that may get over looked.
i got all the parts and engine out of my tsi talon. most ppl will just say sell it and buy the car with the engine u want instead of doin all that work, but what fun is that.

p.s. what city u from in mo?

1st of all, are the transmissions for a 94 eclipse 1.8,and a 92 talon 2.0 the same, and also if the timing belt went bad on the 2.0 and the valve got bent, what are the most common other problems,I just bought the 2.0 and would like to fix the motor. Also to do this,I would have to change the computer, right and anything else?

oh boy :( , something tells me you're about to get in way over your head here kid.

I will be going from a 1.8 to the 2.0 turbo, what will I need to do this project, like will I need a new computer?
