Ok so I've read numerous posts about installing a aftermarket keyless remote. I followed the instructions ground pin 1 to 4 ect. But when I turn my key to acc my doors don't unlock then lock to signal its in programming mode. I contacted the guy I bought the ebay guy I bought it from and he said that the 95s aren't programable with remotes. Is this true? If not then can someone post pictures and details of how to do it. Thanks guys

Ahh, and your car already has a system in it?

Alright. Ground those pins, with the doors closed, turn the key to acc, then turn the key to off, doors should lock or something. Let me know if that works.

No, this is not true, 95 came with alarm system from factory, however, there are some that didn't came with them, including 96, 97, 98 and 99.

Yeah my car has the alarm system in it. The guy I bought it from didn't have the key fob for it though. And I've tried grounding those two things on the obd 2 port. Nothing happens. So that's why I'm wondering if my alarm system isn't all screwed up

Did you ground with the key in the off position. Turn to acc and turn off again. All this with the doors closed?

Hmm, system might be shot. Just grab a $50 keyless entry from autozone. Works great and easy install.

For fifty bucks? I might have to. How easy is it to install?

Took me about an hour, but thats with an hour of sleep LOL. You'll just have to play with the stock wiring harness for the keyless entry and find out which wires trigger what relay.

Hello everyone, sorry to bring this post back from the dead. But I bought a Ikeyless remote and ob2 thing from a member on here thinking that would fix my remotes not working (just by chance I wasnt grounding something right or who knows what) I plugged the ob2 thing in.. turned my key to ACC and back.. and nothing. How can you test to see if your alarm system is shot? And can someone please show me pictures of the stock alarm system. This is the first dsm that Ive had that has keyless entry, so I dont know what the stock system looks like. If anyone could help that would be nice !!! :)

Also: Im doubting this is the stock system since it has been wired into my dome lights in my car. ( I found this out since I had a huge draw on my battery and found out this was causing it by pulling the fuse in my engine bay) But I can snap some pictures of it when it gets nice out.. its raining and I dont feel like messing with it right now LOL.

Are you sure it has factory keyless? They all have the alarm system, but not all of them had the keyless.

This is what I have tried so far. The remote on the left is a egay remote... and the two things on the right are the Keyless Ride system. Both have not worked. I guess how do you tell if you have keyless entry on your car.. im such a rookie at this. I know nothing about these keyless install systems. I have a box thing under my dash and the little red blinkie light on my center counsel.

You have an aftermarket system. The factory system is behind the rear panel on the driver side, not under the dash. And it doesn't have a blinking security light.

really?.... im going to go snap some pictures.. I really am confused about this whole thing.

You have an aftermarket system,.

Your stock Security system (brain box) is on the driver side rear panel.

Remove your side penal (driver side) where the speaker is and check to see if you have the box, It will be like this one right here (third pic).
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/electrical-tech/443911-needed-interior-help.html

The box is from a 1g, but the 2g is almost identical and will have the security relay on a side, Check to see if you have it there, if not, then your car didn't came with one or some one removed the system.

ok.. ill check it sometime. persay I do have the box. what would be causing it not to work?

You probably don't have it , or it was messed up / disabled by whoever installed the aftermarket system. If the oem box is there you would probably have to remove the aftermarket system and restore all the wiring to how it was originally.

Is there a green light on the instrument cluster that lights up says security when you turn the key to accessories that's a factory system

Pretty sure every dsm has that. Even my 90's have the security light. Every turbo model I've owned has the security light, even if it doesn't have keyless.
