1993 Eagle Talon DL Air Intake System.

I have a 93 Eagle Talon DL Non Turbo FWD 5sp Manual/ and I want to put a new air intake system in it. The one I have no is a stock intake with some werid plastic covering over it. I was wondering if anyone else has put a decent air intake into their talon and i was wondering if a Cold Air intake would be better over a normal one?

here's a bunch of choices on intakes on ebay:

i would not spend more than $40 on an intake (including shipping)

and someone correct me if i'm wrong, an intake from a 2.0 n/t will work on a 1.8. right or wrong?
oh and btw, this really doesn't need to be in the problem/diagnosis section since it's really not a problem.
