The Story.....

First i want to thank my Brother(Alan11), my dad and nathan(9!'clipseDOHC) for helping.

About a year ago i found a 1991 Gst In craigslist For $350... ended up getting it for 260.. good deal.:hellyeah:
We Didn't know what was wrong with the car,
Took it home and got it running for our surprise a spun bearing.OMG

The build started......:thumb:

Goals for the car

-Rebuild engine ( 350- 450 hp)
-paint the car (same color)
-clean and restore inside (previous owner didn't took good care of this car)

Started buying parts about 10 months ago, at the same time we took the engine/transmission out.

Disasemble the engine and the bearings were not too bad. We took the engine to the machine shop and good thing we know the guy at the machine shop so he gave us all the work for cheap.

The block was
-hot tank
-over bore to .20
-the deck was mil cut

The head was
-pressure tested
-mil cut
-5 angle valve job
-stage 1 port polish

Bought
-A set of 1G six bolt rods.
-2G pistons.
-arp head studs, main studs and crank bolts.
-cometic head gasket
-new bearings.
-gates timing kit and new water pump.
-all gaskets were replaced.

Pics-

-The day i brought the car home
-Very first look at the engine
-Engine bay dirty
-engine out
-engine out
-installing crank

next morning the day we all wait for start the car and it didn't want to idle, it would start but it would die right away, so we checked the basic fuel and spark it was all there....

so i ask nathan (9!'clipseDOHC) for help, Next week he came over to help. We couldn't figure it out but we were sure it was a boost leak.

We checked all the fuel and spark system, and everything was in good working condition... we were about to leave it for another day but we couldn't just leave it so we check all gasket and the injectors seals were missing...LOL
i know such a simple thing.

Next morning Nathan gave me his 450's with seals which i will pay u don't worry...LOL

and got the car running, took it for a test drive around the block... and chage the oil..

And this is the car yesterday after welding last wires the dog ate....

Thanks Nathan..... Yeah I it is 0-150 I just need the ss braided line
And the adapters.... I think I know , but I want to make sure! what is the thread size on the oil
Filter housing?

I will tell you that the copper lines are a lot easier to bend and work then with the stainless braided ones. For the adapter you need a 1/8 BSPT male to 1/8 NPT female adapter (I used Autometer part# 2269). http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-engine-fuel/359004-using-t-install-oil-pressure-gauge.html
