1990 turbo eclipse rnigine light problems

So im new to this forum an new to dsms. I just picked up a 1990 turbo eclipse with a couple mods. The car is tuned on dsm link and im having a problem with the engine light randomly coming on but then when i hook it up to my laptop to run codes there is none. Sometimes the light will just flicker or it will stay on for a while. I noticed that the o2 sensor did not osculate at idle it was just staying a stead .16 at idle. Then when i give it gas it slowly went to .12 then goes back up to .16 sometimes it will hit .18 and just stay. Could this by why the light randomly comes on but has no codes at all?

Hey buddy, welcome to the forums, I would recomend ECMTuning, Inc. for link related questions in the future. I am 100% sure that that engine light flickering is your coolant temp warning. I have mine set to 219F and it will flicker coming to a stand still after a nice hot lap. If it were anything else you would see it under DTC.
I would bump the coolant warning light up to 219F if its not already there, and also while your under that tab make your light come on for knock as well (about 3 deg).

Hey yea thanks for the welcome. Ill check out ecmlink see what they got. You no what that does make since cause its a flicker then it will come on an randomly just go right off. I have not looked to much into my laptop on setting the temp but i will go in and set it to 219 see what happens from there. I also noticed that the o2 reading stay at .18 at idle never osculates? Would this be a bad o2 my exhaust kinda smells like gas.

I went in and checked on the temp setting. The temp was set to 219 already so i left that alone. I checked the knock it was set to 3 so i left that alone. So i let me car run for a while drove ti around and its constantly at 230 or higher. I think i need to invest in a ect sensor and a fan sensor my fans come on but they will go off even if the car is too hot and they should be staying on. Also my car still smells rich with a new o2 sensor and stil idles up and down a little.

I got my car to stay alot cooler now. The car never overheats or turns the light on at idle but for some reason if im on the freeway the light will come on after bout 5 minutes of driving. I put new coolant , thermostat , and a new fan which helped alot. My car also randomly throws up the knock light when i start to hit boost.

Anyone have any suggestions i have been searching for weeks an still no fix. My car still smells like straight gas out the exausht and is running very rich. No boost leaks , new o2 , new spark plugs , no check engine light for any codes. Any help would be much needed i see alot of people on here but no help?
