What is the little box mounted to the back of the intake manifold called..mine is missing and have been told several times that is why my tach doesnt work...what is this part called so I can buy one...thanks...

thanks for the info about the noise filter, I knew it had to be something about the 90 model...For the guy with the coil pack I have installed a brand new coil pack and a brand new ignition module..no luck yet...

Well that little part (tach noise filter?) was the problem..A 90 model will not have a tach signal without the little metal box that is attached to the throttle cable linkage where it mounts to the intake manifold...SO: if you have a 90 model that the tach does not work look for that part before you waste money on a new coil pack and ignition module :( but at least my ignition is is good shape now!!!

Where you get a good tach noise filter ? I need one also

I found it attached to a wiring harness a friend of mine had on his parts car...I can get you the part number off the piece and you can take it to any mitsu dealer or a chrysler dealer and they can order it...I will write the number down tomorrow and post it.

Thanks man, No rush this is for my 90 gst that Im using to convert over in my car. I have no way of testing things yet as everythign is outta that car and on my garage floor. I did however get a good coil pack, but if you say its the noise filter causing this problem I guess I need one of those to.
