i searched this but couldnt find a straight answer.... is a 1990 eprom rare? i heard that they all had them, but out of the 50 or so i have seen, only 1 did. then again, i also heard they were very very rare. could someone aanswer this question for me? thanks.
 
I have a 90 Laser fwd with standard transmission.........do you know if that will work with mine......have you used the computer after you did repairs to make sure its working properly?

yes i put it in my 90 FWD and it worked fine. the only difference in the AWD compared to the FWD ecu is the fuel curves. it wont like it at first and will sometimes bog when coming back down to idle, but after a few minutes it picks up on it and its fine. we were sceptacle doing this to my friends 93 tsi FWD with a 6 bolt non-eprom, because he put a 90 AWD eprom in his and we were sure that combo wouldnt work, but sure enough, it did.
