Hey I sent you pics I think, yes just label them as you go tedious yes, and you may want to get some brake cleaner I did to remove the black goo or something, makes it all cleaner, gonna do that again once I get another harness, and time. LOL

Haven't received the pics yet. Definitely. Working with these wires sure has been messy.

My pics aren't much at all just a bunch of loom covering whats exposed my second tuck so its not bad, I know what ill do next time for sure so its a learning experience. Lmk if you have any more questions ill help anyway I can.

Been doing tons of research on the wires and came across this pretty cool link that has both a 1990 dsm wiring harness layout and the 1991-1994 wiring harness layout. I printed out a life size copy of the 1990 layout. (I guess it's one of the perks of working sitting in an office all day) :) I will also attach the 1990 harness image below also put the link where you can find this info below.

We'll guys here's a small update on the talon. So far I've been focusing all of my time on the wire harness. It sure is a time consuming process. I am taking my time and trying to research everything before I make a move. So far I have deleted almost every plug that will not be needed. I will provide a list of what I have deleted as of right now. I do have to say that without 19Eclipse90's write ups for the 90 harnesses. This would of taken so much longer. So just want to extend a special thanks to him for helping simplify things for us. I still have to remove the fuse box harness and tackle that but I'm not getting ahead of myself. I will get to it once I have the engine harness ready to go. So here's some pictures and the list of what clips I have deleted. (**please keep in mind the clip codes I post are from 19Eclipse90's thread. Not the factory service manual.**)

Here is the link to the thread with the clip codes I used.

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...12841-1990-engine-control-wiring-harness.html

Deleted clips:

A-08 Dual Pressure Switch
A-09 Wiper Motor
A-12 Brake Fluid Level Sender
A-13 Solenoid Harness (fps,egr,purge valve)
A-51 Wastegate Solenoid
B-08 EGR Temp Sensor
B-16 A/C Magnetic Clutch
B-26 Oxygen Sensor (running narrowband)
B-31 A/C Switch for ECU

I still have a couple others I need to delete and I will update this list once I delete them. Here are some pictures.

As of right now here's how the harness sits.

Just discovered this thread today - great find!
Thanks for posting so many pics. The details sometimes are the hard part. For instance when you started talking about a battery relocate I went looking for a pic of where you put the hole through the firewall and there it was!

Looks like you successfully found a good un-molested car to start from. I would say, many thanks to the previous owner. The pics from when it was stock are some of the best stock 1990 pics I have now.
I'm still weeding through some of the ridiculous stuff that was done previously on my car. Some of the things you showed pics of I've actually never seen stock.

That wiring diagram from hotrodcoffeeshop is great. 2507 by 1901 pixels, yeah :hellyeah: that's what I call a picture!

With redoing your engine wire harness, are you planning to replace any of the connectors? There are some places where I would like to replace the connector with a brand new part, but I haven't found new parts for this. I did find a way of buying really good quality engine compartment wire though.

I have my fpr in a place similar to yours, and when I saw how close the gauge came to that bracket on the intake mani, I took the gauge off and put a plug in that port. Worried me what could happen when the engine moves around on the motor mounts. Do you see any signs of contact there?

Thanks for dropping in! I do try to provide as much detail in my build thread as I possibly can. Hopefully when other Tuners stop by it can give them a good starting point when trying to accomplish something with their own cars. In regards to the wire connectors I am not going to replace any of the connectors with new ones. I was looking at some milspec connectors but the budget doesn't allow for it at the moment. I will be replacing the 4 injector clips with 2g clips for an easier way to disconnect the injectors. I also was skeptical about the placement of my FPR but since it's been in that spot I have not seen any signs if it hitting the throttle cable. Again thanks for dropping in!

Ok there are several places to find loom like eric did with his 2g and I bought some before from wirecable I think that's the site.

Couple of detail questions:

That sensor on the elbow going into the throttle body, is that the AIT for your speed density?

I see on your 1990 throttle body you have the upper 2 vacuum pipes plugged, but the lower 2 are joined to each other with a hose. Is this the way to do it, or is it just as good to just plug all 4 of them?

Is the turbine housing on your 20g an 8cm? Did you get your 20g from FP?

So sorry for the late response. I've been busy with the new semester beginning and all. Yes, the sensor on the elbow is my IAT for SD. The hose connected to both is the same as plugging them. They both suck vacuum so when their connected sucking it's basically capped. The turbine housing on my 20G was an 8CM turbine housing. I got my complete turbo from Turbo Lab. They have wonderful customer service and are very trustworthy. I have purchased 2 turbos from them and have 0 complaints!

Its all good gonna miss paul too, yes I got my turbo from Austin too great guy made friend along the way, I like the throttle elbow what kind is that, trying to get speed density set up, gotta get a pipe and get my couplers coming and bov flange is it the ets one? Coming along man.

Alright guys! Here's an update on the talon! Since the spring semester had started I've been swamped with school and work. I am trying to free up some time to get to work on the talon. I did get a chance to get some work done today. I did some thinking and am pretty close to being able to route the engine harness to make all the wires the appropriate size. I didn't feel like crawling under the dash and working in awkward positions. So I removed the dash again. I figure it'll be easier to weld the holes shut from the inside anyways. I removed the fuse harness and once I get the engine harness length good I'll start to rip into that. I also removed the wiper blade assembly. The fire wall is clearing up pretty nice. Once the wires are routed then the engine can come out. :) I can't wait for that! Here's some pictures.

Thank you sir! It's actually the elbow that comes in the VRSF FMIC kit. Nothing crazy!

Oh ok so ets is the one ill grab. Man I pulled my harness out a few times pita and had to gut the interior harenss too, gonna have to do another wire job in the future planning the shootout now.

Yeah the ETS elbow is stainless steel. The harness pulling can be a huge pain. I just try and stay patient. I also try not to take any shortcuts. If I get overwhelmed I just leave it for another day. It's always gonna be there.

Exactly it took me a while to pull it out then go from there gonna have to have my iat bung welded but my sd stuff will be here next month.
