Yes but when you port the turbine inlet to remove the ring step & the exhaust mani to match, the actual size of the collector just before the outlet that you are porting on the mani is still larger then the ported outlet/turbine inlet itself. So where this is ported wouldn't be another expansion, if anything I would think it would be a smoother transition into the turbine inlet from the larger collector area before the mani outlet. Like I said can't prove anything as far as top end goes as I don't have before/after logs but I did compare spool when I had the t25 & the ported turbo did infact spool faster.
I know you can always say they do it to make extra money but why do even the most reputable shops offer porting on the MHI turbos if its such a bad idea?
