Sorry to threadjack, but I'm looking at a set of 17x9 they are available in +22 or +38, my car is dropped around 2" would it be better to get +38 and a spacer? If so what size?

+38, you might need spacers (5mm) in the rear, front should be fine,

do you plan on running a 255/40 tire?

Most likely a 245/40. I'd like the extra clearence if i can stretch it.

So I bought my wheels and they are not 17x9. I just felt I should share with everyone

I ended up going with an awesome deal I got on these

Couldn't pass them up. I'll probably be looking for some Dunlop Star specs in the near future now that I have the wheels.

You should weigh one of the wheels to see how much the powdercoating added to them.

I only ask this because I want to get mine powder coated and I'm just curious. I'm still going to get them done either way.

So, I came across this cool item for checking wheel/tire fitment....before guessing and thought others might find it interesting.

here are some quick photos of my 17x9 rims +38 mm offset 235/45/17 dunlop direzza z101 tires!

lower that thing, or go to a 245/45 tire, those tires look small on your car

The car is already lowered on koni yellows, with eiback pro springs. I do need to get some coilovers and i would have gone with the 245/40 tire but it rubbed in the rear!
