16g Turbine Housing- Which cars came equiped with 16g turbos?

Due to a broken bolt in the turbine housing, I'd like to replace my stock 6cm, 14b turbine housing with a 7cm turbine housing from a 16g. I need to know which cars had the 16g turbine housing that would bolt up to a 2G exhaust manifold so that I can call around to the local salvage yards to check for availability.

My goal is to get the most from my 14b until I can cough up the dough for a proper turbo upgrade. I have HKS 264/272 cams and cam gears. My thought was to use the 7cm housing for more top end flow (vs. porting the 6cm housing) while retarding my exhaust cam for quicker turbo spool to hopefully make up for the slightly increased lag of the 7cm housing.

Doubt you will find a 16g turbo on any car in a US junk yard(unless it was upgraded), as far as I know they only came on evo 1-3.

the best thing to do is post up in the classifides that you are looking for a 7cm exhaust housing. I'm sure someone has a housing laying around

I have a 14b thats toast laying around it needs to be rebuilt. I took it off my 91 when I bought it and put on the 16g. It smoked.

I run a 16G hotside on my 14B and I am trying to get the most outta it too. If you are gonna run it 20+ psi I would reccomend getting the wheel clipped to reduce back pressure. Try to find a blown 16G to get the housing. Seeing you are in Cali you shouldnt have a hard time finding car parts, check out some local forums.

Never cared for a 7cm2 housing on a 14b myself, all the lag of a 16g with none of the topend, YMMV. I've got a 7cm2 housing laying around though the idiot that sold it to me stripped a threaded hole and welded a nut in its place. The clipped wheel on my small 16g made some monster topend, but I don't run one on my EVOIII 16g as I don't like adding the extra lag.
