Would it be possible to rebuild a knock off 16g with a true 16g rebuild kit, as to try to avoid failure again? IF so where would be a good place to buy one? THanks

Your better off just buying a real 16g its like only $550 at dsmparts and it has the 34mm flapper and its ported. You probably have the 16g install kit so your good to go.andymoraitis said:You could try:

and see if they offer a CHRA for the 16G's. Once you determine the cost you may find that's it's more cost effective to simply replace the turbo with an MHI but this should at least get you pointed in the right direction.
Good luck!

. You're going to get a lot of negative feedback on the EVO GT turbo but there are also a lot of folks who swear by it. Most of the complaints about the GT turbo are related to failure of the turbo itself within a very short time span. I think a lot of the negative remarks are strictly hearsay.daveyfx said:Now you've done it. Ultimately it's up to you. The company does warranty the product and the GT turbo definitely pushes the numbers that a genuine MHI EVO III will.
thanks for your replies.
