Just put some 7ES a few months ago before my rebuild and they were set at .028 this cleared up my hesitation over 4000k very well. Now after driving the car about 500 miles and getting use to the power I notice there is still hesitation after 4,500k or so. I believe its the gap is still the issue. A/f is roughly 10.5-11.7 at WOT though the full upper rev range. I was thinking of bumping it down to .026. Any suggestion are appreciated. Cars a 6bolt 4g63 built by SIM racing (stage 1+) 16g at 23psi with all supporting mods like wideband, safcII and what not. Running pure 92(highest here besides 93e10) Little bit of light blue smoke from misfire so is my assumption correct, just blowing the spark out still a little bit?
Thanks in advance.

30psi on e85 BR9ES gapped .018. So far so good. Had to go colder than 8s, might not be necessary but it if you can do it, go right ahead and go colder.

cool thanks guys, im gunna give it a go after dinner. Ill post back later with results.

now at .025 i can definitely tell a difference. Now just need to make sure the clamps have been holding up well to the pressure.

I had the same issue. Stuttering on high rpm only when boost. It was gapped at .028 when I first use e-85 and bumped it down to .024 and stutter went away and at .028 was perfect for when I was still on 93 pump. It really felt like a boost leak but happen to just be the spark gapp.

I'm having the same issue. I had to turn my boost down from 20 to 15 and it runs smoother but still getting that misfire in full boost, gonna try going smaller gap too. I have some 7es at .28 right now. Hope this helps me out, thanks!

I run .028 with my 16g@32psi on E-85 (same gap i ran on 93@23psi) but every car is gonna be different. If you are positive you have no other issues like a boost leak then gap them tighter and see what happens.
