So I went to the track tonight, first time I have ever been. I sort of launch it (I have an auto) at like 3k rpm, and I do ok, but after about 1/8 I feel the car kind of jump a bit and then it feels like I am not pulling very hard. I keep going and the car is kind of jumpy and feels a little weird. When I get my slip I pull off to see what is wrong, and my passenger rear tire is flat. I was pissed. So I take it off and there is a huge peice of metal in the tire, like, 2.5 inches long. I put the donut on, and watch all my friends race. I was pissed. My 60' was 2.4, is that bad for me? Should it have been better? I am hoping the reason I was slow is because of the tire, I was hoping to get mor like a 15.3 or something. So yeah, my night sucked.

Well with my mods (Blitz BOV, 3" Complete Exhaust, K&N Intake, Intake Pipe) I got 15 Flat, but this was also with bad spark plugs. I'd say On a complete stock setup you should be in the 15s somewhere. 16.9 is way slow for a Turbo DSM, let alone AWD.

His 60' was a 2.4.

You did pretty well considering your tire was flat. Get it fixed and try again. Your 60' is slower than normal. A GS-T with stock everything can get a 2.4 60'. I am guessing your tire was flat before the run and you just didn't see it.

You are going to be fighting that auto tranny till you get some sort of modification to help you launch higher. Even with the 2.4 60' you should be in the 15's even if it is high. The flat was screwing you. I wouldn't even base your cars performance on that run. Do it again and post us some numbers. Hell post the slip.

Compare your perfomance and slip to this for beginning.
