Ok i know everyone is tired of these threads but I just needed some feedback/opinions about this. So I just completed my 14b install like 2 weeks ago and everything is running great, no more leaks/air/oil/coolant...

The thing is... my friend just sold me his BIG 16G today for $140 because hes selling his car, I checked it for shaft play, has barley any left to right and NONE in and out so I bought it... It has like black dirt on the fins as you can see here, will that do anything to performance in anyway, its not wet or anything...

The number is: 49178-01420 on the compressor housing.

Also, should I install it now and keep it on low boost, or just wait until I get more supporting mods... IYO?(something to tune with) I'm in no rush or anything I'll just have it laying around, my mods are in my profile.

You kind of answered your own question. I would wait until you get some 550's and then tune with a safc or link. If you do decide to install it, watch for lean conditions. As of the black stuff on compressor wheel, did your friend have his tube from the vc to the intake snorkel still hooked up. Keep boost below 10lbs....For the most part you should be ok with no problems....

Don't put it on yet....run the 14B.

With the stock fuel system you won't be able to *safely* run over 12psi with the Big 16G, which is under the compressor's efficiency range. Your car will feel faster at 15psi or so with the 14B that you recently installed than it would at 10-12psi with the Big 16G.

I agree with the wiseman i just installed a big 16g off ebay.........yeah i know ebay...and guess what i honestly only ran it probably 6 to 8 times hard and it spiked 18 psi and guess what i am now sitting with a blown bottom end anda smoked turbo. run the 14b until you get the right tunning tools
