I am swapping a 14b onto my 1g auto 13g Talon. I believe I have all the supporting parts figured out except for the following question. Can I re-use the oil-return line from the 13g for this swap?

I have new oil feed and coolant lines so those are taken care of. I just cant find a definitive answer on the oil-return line. Some say it will work with tweaking while others say it won't. If I have to buy a new oil return, no big deal I would just like to know ahead of time.

According to our vendor STM's website, they are the same but are discontinued as of March of this year for a new one. I would say the old one should fit just fine. I have an auto DSM (13g) and its return line didn't 'look" any different than my stick car (14b)
Here is what STM says for the listing for a 1g oil return pipe....

Thank you for the information! I will post a reply to this thread if it works, for future reference to other members.

There’s actually part numbers for both 6-bolt and 7-bolt variations of the 13G and 14B versions of the oil return line. But I find the same information that states generically the “1G drains can be made to work.”

6-bolt 13G (automatic) - MD162286
6-bolt 14B (manual) - MD150523

7-bolt 13G (automatic) - MD187295
7-bolt 14B (manual) - MD189313

Definitely let us know how it works out for you.

Thanks Brian!!! :thumb:
The book doesn't lie (but I don't have the documents that you ALWAYS have, sure appreciate it). :)

Just don’t tell my boss that I have a CAPS / ASA laptop from home in the office. LOL
Running Link on a Gvment machine. Was tricky to get it to accept it, but works great after jumping thru hoops. :thumb:
