OK! So long story short. Bought a 91'Talon auto/turbo never could get it to run right so i parted it, kept all the turbo related parts and sent it to the junk yard.

Later on I bought a 90'Eclipse GS, Fresh moter this time! in i was thinkin of turboing it with a 13g. Only problem is that I'm not sure if the turbo i got off the talon was actually a 13g since i found an ad in the classifieds the other day selling a 13g. but the pic of it in the ad clearly doesn't look like the one i have!??? so...i was hoping somebody would be able to help me out here in tell me which is which. Any help would be highly appreciated!
thanks-Justin

Sorry i dont really know anything about the b16g but what should i look for?
You have me a little confused with 54 part.

if it is a true MHI 16G it will have a (XXX) designation on the Compressor housing it is the number stamped between the zeros like this 49178-0(XXX)0

s16g= 49178-00520 <-- this is what yours looks like i could be wrong :thumb:
B16g=49178-00420
Evo3=49178-01470

either way, have fun with that thing, I know I did when i had one :D

You cannot tell by the compressor cover what 16g it is.

To determine if it's a small, normal, or big 16g, you need to measure the wheels. Doesn't matter really, they all perform the same at the track. :)
There is no 'normal' 16g. There's either a small or a big, plus the evo3 16g.

Yeah theres a 520 between the zero's , very faint but its there. thanks everyone!
I will enjoy!
