Not even worth the money, might as well just pick up a used 16g for the same price.

i figured this would probably be true, i just was unsure about prices and how much it would cost to do the work on a 14b. any idea on how much it actually costs?

Quoting turbo rebuilds is tough because of the factors involved. The average TDO5H rebuild kit retails for $150.00. You figure mininum you are going to need two -three hours of labor at $75.00 an hour and your already up over 300 bucks... If it needs a compressor wheel you are looking another $125.00... WTF Cough cough, find a used 16G or check out some pricing on a new one is most likely in your best interest.

If it just needs to be rebuilt you can get a rebuild kit off ebay and do it yourself. If it needs a new compressor wheel you could probably find a small 16g wheel on ebay without too much trouble too.

it doesn't really need to be rebuilt yet, but I'm pulling the motor in a few months and rebuilding it and the tranny. i figure i should address everything at once. sounds like id be better off just finding a used 16g to bolt up.
