I bought a 14b turbo and have been hunting for the needed parts, so that i wouldn' t have to pay the SBR price for their kit. Probably have seen my ads in the classifieds here. Well anyway, i was wondering what i need to use to connect my outlet on my turbo to my SMIC. J pipe is usually used for front mounts isn't it?

a pic might be helpful.

Thanks,

BEN

a j pipe will work for the side mount and all you do is flip the flex hose (if you still got it) around and it will connect to the sidemount.

:edit: 1993eclipsegs beat me to it!

I was wondering if anyone has any pictures of their 2g engine compartment after they did the 14b set up. I was curious to see how it looks exactly with the j pipe and what not. If you do, please post one. Thanks!

I've got one. This is using RRE's J-pipe and L-pipe that comes with their install kit. Pay no attention to the blue words; that was for something else.

Also, pay no attention to the mess that is my engine bay. I plan on cleaning a lot of it up this summer. Notice in the first pic that the Jpipe clears the front engine mount on the passenger side. Not all do this, as I've seen. Some have been modified to pass over towards the driver's side, mostly for FMIC applications, but I think some just may be fabricated that way.

Though you can't see much of it, the L-pipe on the bottom replaces the black mystery reservoir that sits between the S-hose and the SMIC.
