14b on a 2g power question
I'm sure this has been talked about before. But If i installed a 14b that is in good condition on my 2g with just the regular bolt ons (not with fuel stuff) how easy would it be to attain 300 flywheel hp off of it? I dont really want more than that figure being fwd and all so not worried about future potential. Current mods are:

dave brode upper with 1gbov

full 3inch turbo back

kn w/maf adapter

boost gauge

gonna be ordering a mbc pretty soon

5speed btw with stock clutch

stock sidemount

So nobody knows about this? C'mon, i'm talking flywheel not wheel horsepower. Say 250-260 whp, is that attainable with a 14b on a fwd car? yes/no.

first line of the rules:

What NOT to ask in the forums:
- If I bolt on "x" part, how much power will I gain?
- I want a 10-second daily driver- what parts will I need? which turbo?
- What should my first mods be?
- Which turbo is the best?
- Which is better - FWD or AWD?
- Why do people here not like ricers?
- Isn't the Fast & the Furious the best movie ever?
- Are altezza tail lights cool?
- How do I make my BOV louder?
- Should I buy a DSM or a Honda?
- Why are people in "X car forums" so ignorant?

but i doubt you'll make 300 w/o turning up your boost, and at least hacking into your intake pipe. besides, you dont want 300, you're clutch will be going out very soon.

I'm running 20psi on a stock clutch, seems to hold and doesn't smell like it's burning up, don't launch it though...hope it holds up :D

I have a ported 14b on my 2g AWD right now. Next weekend is the se.dsm meet and there are still a couple dyno spots open for it. If I can get everthing together this weekend I'll most likely sign up for a dyno run. If I do, I'll be sure to let you know what the results are! Mods are in profile too, just so you can have a point of reference :thumb:

I don't see the logic in doing what you're trying to do without upgrading fuel components as well. You're just asking for trouble. Is 300hp attainable on a 14b, sure it is, but so is engine replacement if it's not tuned properly.

Ok that's what i wanted to hear. It's a very small goal but I will get the fuel setup along with it then.

Thanks

My mods are in my profile and they are up to date...i am right a 300hp at engine right now....its not really that hard to do...i am at 17psi on 94 octane...might turn up to 18psi and see.....i am also on stock clutch still, 2100 is on the list but not in yet..tomorow it will be goin in..good luck....14b turbo is good...all these guys that bolt on bigger turbos right away and cant tune them...stick with it and it will perform well for you....
