So i bought a 14b with j-pipe and i was thinking of just reusing the water lines and return line, and buy a new oil feed line. My question is is it safe to do this or should I get an install kit? Has anyone done this besides cucumber? And with a 14b do I need to upgrade to a bigger fuel pump. Thanks Winter

Stock fuel pump works fine.

TONS of people have done what you suggest, these "install kits" and the biggest rip off in the industry.

All you need is a stock 1g feedline w/banjo bolt, and a plug for where the stock 2g line was. Your stock j pipe will work fine along with bent stock lines. The return bolt holes will need to be worked with a dremel for a minute.

Best of luck.

I did this swap with a 14b a couple years back. Some of the install kits out there are a joke and waste of money. The first time I did the swap i used the stock j-pipe and getting it to work is a bi*** and it looks like hell. I also just ran the oil from the head and used my stock 2g water lines.I also used a 1g oil return which worked fine. This was all rigged up pretty crappy although it worked it kinda sucked.

The second time I did it on my other car I bought tc.com intall kit its only like 140 bucks. There j-pipe works alot better and you also get a nice oil feed from the filter housing which is alot easier to mess with if you have to take the turbo off again in the future for anything.Plus you get a oil return with it.I think if you kind find a j-pipe that is out of kit and an oil feed line you can use the 1g oil return but there a bi*** to get lined up.

Good luck ask question as you need to.Also I ran my 14b on my talon a few years ago with a 190lph.But if your not planning on boosting much over stock the stock fuel pump is fine.:thumb:
