I'm currently running a wally 255 and 1000cc injectors on e85. Maxing the pump out and wanted to make a little more power so i decided to order a set of FIC1450's and a Walbro 450 E85 pump.. My question is, are these overkill for a B16g turbo? I do plan on upgrading turbos in the future but will be running the 16g for another 6 months or so. Hoping to make at least 450whp.

Thank You in advance.

nope. And you will have room to grow. Just for the heck of it, I rolled around for a few weeks with an evo iii 16g, FIC1550's, walbro 450, and e85. It was pretty fun.

i'm not sure off the top of my head what my flow charts look like. i'm currently on 22lbs, if i remember right my injector duty was up there close to maxed out.. i think i'm just going to get it all installed and max out the 16g for the time being.

What size feed line are you using? How about your fuel filter setup, that stock banjo bolt setup is pretty restrictive. Fuel pump rewire been done? I'm sure you've done your prerequisite boost leak test, but you should maybe rent a fuel pressure tester and check the pumps pressure and flow.

If he has been running e85 for a while I bet the fuel filter is clogging up. As stated above you are a long way from maxing out your fuel setup with a 16g turbo. I maxed a similar setup at around 500whp with the only difference being 1150cc injectors a walbro 255 and a bw s258. Investigate a little bit you may find your issue. You can never go wrong upgrading your fuel setup but don't do it with an existing fuel issues clogged filter, dirty injectors, ect....

Nope im using ID 2200s and a BR double pumper on my stock frame turbo on E85 and gas. As long as you have something good to tune with It will be fine

okay so turned out my injectors i've been using MSD 1000CC were causing some hold up on the fuel end being i bought these used and didnt have them cleaned then ran e85 for well over a year through them they were a big clogged up. I've since replaced them with FIC 1450's and the pump with a walbro 450lph and am waiting to retune. When the question was asked i was running a rewired walbro 255lph with -6an to fuel lab filter and -6an to rail to fuel lab afpr set at 43lbs after boost creep i was running about 25lb of boost and was at 90% IDC. sent the MSD's in and had them inspected and cleaned and they were pretty bad according to FIC.

Congrats! You should be good to go now!!

The Wally 255 will support more power on e85 than 99% of dsms will make. The problem is you can start to run unto issues hitting the bypass on an unmodified pump. You may run into pressure issues trying to run more than 35 psi. The walboro 255 is really an awesome little pump for just about anybody who wants to run stock configuration fuel system with stock tank.
