in my travels i've run across an issue hunting down parts for a 13G -> 14B swap. there's contradictory information floating around about what parts need to be swapped out.
everywhere I look user "TURFNNSURF" posts "you will need a new Coolant return line(part number MD117764) and Banjo bolt(part number MF650114) for a 14b swap. All the other stock lines from your 13g will bolt up the the 14b. "
from what i've been able to surmise, that's kind of consensus opinion. i've seen that posted from a couple of people.
BUT:
in another post, there's contradictory information: user "spooling99" posts "Both waterlines are different on the 13g"
i have the 14B at the house, and an extra 13G eyebolt, and they're not the same size. the 13G eyebolt is too small for the threads on the 14B, and both the coolant return and coolant feed have the same threads. so the 13G eyebolt won't work on the coolant feed or drain lines.
so, which is correct?
does the 13G have 2 different sized eyebolts for the coolant, and the coolant feed line has a bigger bolt than the return line?
or:
do they have the same sized eyebolt, and i need both coolant lines with proper eyebolts?
i'm hoping that enough people will see this that have done it that can chime in...
ps: i have a M/T ECU and 450CC injectors already and a 1G M/T manifold, so unless you know of other parts that are different (in a bad way, ### the A/T FPR is a slightly higher flowing unit, although they're different) feel free to chime in also.
