I just started got this 95 tsi awd auto car. I have a turbo back, intake, new plugs 8mm wires, mbc , front mount.. I still have a stock turbo after all the bolt ons. How enefficiant is the 13b turbo. Will it flow enough w a front mount on it?. Can u run 16lbs on the turbo?

I had one also with a fmic. Ran it at around 15 psi. Spoiled fast. They are a little less inefficient than the t25... I'm not exact on the numbers. But to answer your question you should be fine

All 2g's came stock with a t25, not a 13b.

EDIT: After rereading your post, I'm guessing you're asking if you should use that instead of the t25. Yes it's better then a t25, but if you're going to go through all the trouble to swap that turbo on, why not try to at least find a cheap 14b?

Please fill out your profile so we know what is done to the car. Also, before turning up the boost, you should have a way to datalog your car so you can see your injector duty cycles and knock.

+1 13g's are weak. if you are putting on mitsu turbo put on a 14b or better.

The 13g flows about 25 lbs/min and is just barely bigger then the t25. Not a worthy upgrade. A 14b can be found for the same price as a 13g. The only people that use 13g's are over at 3si.org haha.

Are you talking about a 14b? Well i guess it dosen't matter a 13 or a 14... either way there both a bit bigger than a T25 but there defiantly no 16G! you hit 250 to 275 hp and you've about maxed that turbo out. If i was u i would just buy a 16g considering it has almost the same spool and it will flow a lot more air and it's way more efficient at 15psi and up. running a front mount on such a small turbo is almost pointless, plus a 16G at 25 psi feels amazing compared to a 14b at the same psi. you'll be more likely to break 300 at the wheels, the turbo won't have to spin as hard to reach the same flow thus most likely prolonging the life of it, the difference in spool is hardly noticeable, and you can find used good condition 16g on here for 3-400 at the most. That's just my .02 take it or leave it but i would guess most of the dsm community would agree with me! don't waist the money on a 13 or 14 and just pick up a 16G:thumb:

sorry didnt kno 2nd gens all came w t25s. so the fmic is pointless with a stock turbo than? also ill fill the profile out.
i just got this car , from what ive read the 16g is the way to go i kno this. plans arent to have a 10 sec ride. but dont want to be getting beat by a mustang haha!

Yes! There is no need for a FMIC on a stock turbo on 15 psi.... unless you like the look! I know i do and just bought the PR FMIC for my TSI! I'm running an EVO III 16G. and i have no isues with most of the 4.6 v8 stangs around here! I'm just saying the 16g would be the best bang for your buck! just trying to lead you in the right direction for a mustang whooping dsm LOL!
