hey i searched but couldnt find anything, the deal is, is that i just bought a 97 gst auto, now the car has 100k on it but the turbo looks brand new, unfortionatly i bought it from a dealer and they have no idea if its an upgraded turbo or the stock 13b that was just well maintaned, i cant find any numbers on it, but my mechanical boost gauge is reading 12-13 psi WOT that doesnt seem like a stock 13b boost level ...the car doesnt have any boost controller either.. just wondering if that is a stock boost for 13b or i should do some more searching to see what numbers i can find

thanks guys

There is no such thing as a 13b, well unless you're talking about a rotary motor but that's another story. The stock turbo on a 2G car is a T25, you may be confusing it with the auto 1G turbo the 13g. In any case 12-13 psi sounds about normal for a 2G car, you have nothing to worry about.

my bad, thanks tho.. do you happen to know what a safe boost level is for the t25, cause i just ordered a boost controller

thanks again

If you still have the stock bypass valve it leaks at anything past 13psi anyway. First replace it and your UICP with an aftermarket one. After that 15-16psi is ok, the T25 won't hold that to redline though. Anything more than 16psi will be out of efficiency for the T25 and will likely heatsoak your SMIC quickly.
