I know I know.....your first thought is "oh no.....another newb trying to run 10's" BUT, I know an alright bit about DSMs now, but not a whole lot about tuning....I just need a little help here. (And Im not trying to run 10's :) )

Background -
If you know me, you know that I bought a 1G talon already modded out the wazooo. It was broken into and some stuff was stolen out of it, including the MAFT, Fluidyne, fans, and BC. I have reinstalled all of these with the exception of the BC. So, obviously I had to retune the MAFT when I installed the new one....

Okay, so I go down to the track and run a 13.8777. Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldnt I be seeing at least high 12's with a full weight car and the mods I have (see car profile for mods)? My 60-ft was a 1.888.

I am running an 8-lb spring in the wastegate, but it was creeping up to about 12psi. My AFR was around 11.5 at about 6800 rpm (when I had the chance to look down at it) this was with my wideband. My fuel pressure is running at about 30psi at idle which makes the base at around 40-something?

I dunno.....any thoughts? I know I need to tune her a little better....What should my AFR be at idle according to my mod list? Also, what should my target AFR be? I heard 12.1:1 for a built motor? Do you think this tuning should get my ET down a whole second???

Comments? Suggestions? I am new to tuning, so PLEASE help me out here guys!

I think you need to turn up the boost. 8-12psi? Why so low? You should be closer to 20 I would think.

Heh....yes....good point. The power wire to the thing was hanging down and I accidentally hit it and ripped it out. Uhm....I feel retarded. Does that FP sound right though?

You need more boost and tuning. That's an average time for 10ish psi on an aftermarket turbo and support.

Allright, allright.....no flaming now.....dont ask me what i was thinking.....I didnt think thru it completely. BUT just to let you know, i was wrong, it was creeping to 15, but still.....I'm about to fab my own Aux Box for my LM-1 so I can actually datalog for myself and not have to worry about using the pocketlogger, just to be safe when i start upping the boost.

you need more boost, plain and simple. i dont have any engine internal mod's and only 550cc injectors, yet i can get away with 24 psi on 96 octane gas and no knock :rocks:
oh, and i'm running 13.9's on full weight 97 GS-T on a 16G turbo :)
